This limited production sparkling wine is made from Riesling grapes and comes from the dizzyingly steep Ürziger Würzgarten and the neighboring Erdener Treppchen vineyards. The Simon Sekt Brut is produced according to the traditional method of bottle fermentation and while most sparkling wines are made using sugar extract for the dosage, Ingo Simon uses high quality Riesling Auslese. This unique Sekt has all the finesse, elegance and pedigree of Champagne combined with the perfumed expression of characterful Riesling. The Brut Souverain is the most historical cuvée in the region, as it was the first cuvée Apolline Henriot produced in 1808. Apolline aspired to put the light on her vineyards through the expression of a champagne. According to her, one year was not enough to tell the story of the terroirs, so she decided to put wines in reserve each year to incorporate them into a future blend. Therefore, she founded the House by creating a Champagne that would have blending as its fundamental principle. The House respects this philosophy today and uses every terroir in this multi-cru, multi-vintage cuvée. Nimble and pure, it terminates with a long clean finish that is enhanced with a touch of mineral. Dark cherry, raspberries and a touch of earthiness highlight the characteristics of our growing area.

Olg 'our Lady Of Guadalupe' Pinot Noir, Santa Rita Hills 2022

he 2022 OLG Pinot Noir pours a dark persimmon core with a lucid rose hip rim. Laden with elegant aromatics, notes of bright raspberry, bing cherry and Pinot funk develop into darker tones of black cherry, mocha and mahogany. On the palate, the entry is scrumptiously soft with cranberry crunch, ripe strawberry, redcurrant and a touch of maritozzo. Typical of the Sta. Rita Hills, the finish is lined with minerality and some saline hints with closing touches of fennel and anise.

The 2019 Cougar Rock Vineyard Pinot Noir exudes aromas of ripe cherry, red apple and hints of graphite and dried fennel. Cougar Rock is always our most smooth and silky Pinot and most delicate in color which we attribute to the large amount of calcarious chalky rocks that are interspersed throughout the block. The mineral tones from the volcanic soil are apparent, intertwined with a dusty earthiness, rose petals; balanced by a fresh vibrant core and smooth elegant tannins. This wine shines in its youth and we expect it to continue to improve for the next 8-15 years.

Medium ruby, the 2021 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast has an attractive floral perfume of candied roses, wild berries, lifted orange zest, and clove. On the palate, this medium-bodied red is fresh with notes of dusty earth, fresh pomegranate, and cherry, fine tannins, and a clean finish. Charming and refreshing now, it will remain enjoyable over the next 5-6 years. Drink 2023-2028.

Triple Junction unites the distinct characters of each region with a thread of volcanic minerality, freshness and structure that runs through the wines from all three sources. Cabernet Sauvignon from the winery's own Estate Vineyard in California forms the structure and core of the blend. Syrah and Malbec from Washington’s Red Mountain AVA fill the blend with dense, rich, round fruit flavors while Tempranillo from Echo West Ranch in Oregon weaves in spice and savory character. Following the advice of Karl Wente and Louis Martini in the early 60’s, Charlie Barra began planting the petite sirah varietal, and we continue to bottle limited quantities of this luscious, hearty wine.Floral hints of lavender paired with hearty blackberry, earth, and tobacco on the nose. Hailing from halfway between the northern and southern Rhône, this Côtes du Vivarais features equal parts of both regions’ starring grapes—Syrah and Grenache—and offers the closest thing to what you might get if you blended Crozes-Hermitage with Gigondas. With its gorgeous and lifted aromas of black pepper, briny black olive, and violets, the nose is all northern Rhône. When you take a sip, though, the freshness and elegance of Syrah are intermingled with the earthiness, herbs, and concentration of southern Rhône Grenache.

Tobacco, cedar and black cherry on the nose. Blueberry, blackberry, black licorice and interesting mint flavor on the palate. The balance and smoothness on this wine is pretty incredible. Medium acidity, medium plus body, medium plus tannins.

Bondar 'junto' Gsm, Mclaren Vale, Aus 2019

‘Together’ The grapes for Junto are picked early to create a very fresh, bright wine, with red fruits and lovely herbal characters. There’s a life to the palate, a nerve, a tension as well which elevates the intentionally light palate to a more serious place. The blend is put together with the idea that Grenache really is the hero, with Shiraz adding supporting flesh and the Mataro spice and structure/tannin.

The result of these soils is a grape crop with extraordinary concentration of flavor, color, and texture. While the majority of the fruit (70%) comes from the floor of the Napa Valley to achieve the richness and elegance desired, we also relied on some grapes grown at elevation on Napa Valley benchlands and hillsides for a final blend with more structure and complexity than we could have achieved had we used fruit grown solely on the Valley floor.

The elegant 2022 Sonoma County Cabernet is Enkidu's first to include Petit Verdot from Dry Creek Valley. Its feminine character works to refine the more broad shouldered mountain fruit from the Mayacamas range. Subtle aromas of cassis, blackberries and plum with hints of new French oak vanilla and herbs. The flavors mimic the aromas and flow seamlessly from entrance to finish in a framework of dusty tannins that extend into a very long finish.
