The Mermaid Shanty

The Mermaid Shanty is a street side, walk-up restaurant in the beautiful Chesapeake Bay waterfront community of Crisfield Maryland. Along with snow cones and shaved ice, the “Shanty†serves deep fried seafood, including Chesapeake Bay crab balls. We are proud to say our restaurant uses only crabmeat from local picking houses. Dessert consists of only one option - a slice of Original Smith Island Cake. After you try it, you’ll understand why other options aren’t necessary.
