Sikia is one of two full-service restaurants managed and operated by Washburne Culinary Institute. Sikia features a rotating menu that highlights the variety of global contemporary cuisines and cultures students study in Washburne’s International Cuisine course. All of the food is prepared and served by senior-level Washburne Culinary students. Students working in Sikia are able to further their expertise in menu planning, food preparation and cooking, as well as gain essential front-of-the-house service skills. The opportunity to work at Sikia is a final project before the students graduate and launch their culinary careers. Sikia Restaurant features: Global contemporary cuisine prepared by senior-level Washburne Culinary Institute students A three-course lunch, featuring an appetizer, entree and dessert for only $7 (excluding beverage, tax and gratuity A serene, streamlined decor featuring unique African artwork Sikia is open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Reservations are recommended; please call 773.602.5200.
