Although food from the Sichuan region has gained a reputation for being fiery hot and spicy, Sichuan Cuisine is one of the formally recognized styles of cooking within China. In contrast with homestyle cooking which is typically mouth-numbingly spicy, Sichuan cuisine as a culinary form is really about the combination of spices & ingredients and use of different cooking methods to achieve dishes with complex flavors and depth. As such, we have spicy and non-spicy offerings to showcase the variety in Sichuan cooking.
