Legume

Légume is a traditional Haitian dish in the form of a stew. It is composed of simmered beef and a wide variety of vegetables.

Oxtails (ke Bef)

Oxtail tastes like beef, but more specifically, like a more tender, silkier short rib in terms of texture.

Fried Pork (griot)

Griot is Haiti's National Dish consisting of pork meat cubes slowly simmered in a sweet, spicy, and tangy marinade of chile peppers, onions, and orange, lime, or lemon juice until tender, then fried in a skillet. Instead of developing the flavor from the pan drippings, the sauce acts as a cooking liquid, typically reduced to a shiny glaze.

Tassot is a traditional Haitian dish made with goat meat or beef as the main ingredient. Cubed meat is usually marinated in a combination of onions, orange juice, and lemon juice. It is then fried until it develops a crispy, brownish exterior.

The traditional Haitian stew chicken recipe is basically a chicken stew dish that consists of onions, garlic, thyme, parsley, black pepper, scotch bonnet pepper, tomato paste, and more. The spices and herbs used to prepare Haitian chicken are what make it unique.

Boulèt (or Haitian meatballs) are made of ground beef, aromatic herbs such as thyme and parsley, onion, bell pepper, garlic and chili spices.

Black Rice (diri Ak Djon Djon)

Haitian Black Rice (Diri Ak Djon Djon)- is a native dish of Haiti. It is essentially a meal consisting of rice made with edible black mushrooms. When the mushrooms are boiled, they release a grayish-black coloring giving the rice its gray color and the dish's distinctive flavor.
